In 2005, Holywell was awarded two promote licenses in the 23rd Licensing Round.
A further 4 promote licenses were awarded in the 24th Licensing Round in 2007.
In December 2007, Holywell continued License P1341 covering block 43/25b.
In 2008, Holywell was awarded 2 further licenses in the 25th Licensing Round.
In 2009, Holywell signed an Agreement with Perenco UK Limited to develop the Trent East gas field. Holywell Resources would be assigned a 100% interest as operator in the 43/24a sub area, subject to DECC consent. In 2011, Holywell and Perenco UK Limited renewed the Trent East Agreement.
During 2010, in the 26th Licensing Round Holywell was awarded one Licence and one further successful application was awarded in December 2011 following environmental assessment.
